Comedy Central has announced plans for a fifth season of viral video comedy show ‘Tosh.0,’ set to begin next January.

The new season will consist of 30 episodes due start airing soon after the end of the fourth season, which resumes on Tuesday, September 25.

News of the renewal should come as much of a surprise considering ‘Tosh.0’ has become the most popular and most talked about show on the network since making its debut in 2009.

Speaking of the new season, Comedy Central’s head of original programming Kent Alterman said, “Despite the fact that ‘Tosh.0’ has more viewers than any other show on our network, and that Daniel has totally catalyzed his fans online, we still convinced ourselves to pick up the show for another season.”

Host of the show Daniel Tosh himself quipped on the news, saying: “It’s hard for me to get excited about anything when the Miami Dolphins look so terrible.”

Tosh will also be branching out this fall with the premiere of his adult-themed animated series ‘Brickleberry.’ The show features Tosh alongside comedians David Herman (‘Office Space’) and Kaitlin Olsen (‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’).
