Chris Colfer, best known as Glee’s Kurt Hummel, is to add to his happy-clappy résumé of singing, dancing and acting as he signs a two-book deal with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, the publishers responsible for Stephanie Meyer’s ‘Twilight’ Series and Hergè’s ‘The Adventures of Tintin’.

Having recently written the screenplay for up coming movie ‘Struck by Lighting’, in addition to writing a Disney Channel Pilot, there seems to be no end to Colfer’s talents.

At the young age of 21 Chris’ infinite talents may seem exceptional, but in a statement that further puts our own surmountable achievements to shame, Colfer admits the book to be long in the making; “When I was 10 years old I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance. This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I’m excited and nervous to share it.”

The first book, titled ‘The Land of Stories’ is set for publication in Summer 2012 and places a modern twist upon the traditional fairy tale.
