When people talk about Lady Gaga, the focus is usually on what she is wearing. This time around, the focus is on what she isn’t wearing as she dramatically strips down for a promo of her upcoming performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
The 25-year-old singer is depicted removing her bra while playing a ‘stripped down’, Jazz-infused version of her latest single, ‘You and I’ in one of four new promos which hit the web on Thursday. This isn’t the first time the Pop singer has taken to Jazz, as she recently performed Jazz classic ‘Orange Colored Sky’ at this years BBC Radio 1 ‘Big Weekender’ Festival in Carlisle, England.
In another promo, Gaga explains that emotion is her inspiration for writing music, saying: “Sometimes I’m really happy when I write music; sometimes I’m really angry, sometimes I’m really drunk, or sometimes I’m super-sober. You never really know why or if or how you write music.”
Both Lady Gaga and Britney Spears will be two of many featured performers at this year’s Video Music Awards, which air on MTV Sunday, August 28 at 9/8c.
