Fox Searchlight has announced the November 23 release date for their Oscar hopeful ‘Hitchcock.’

The film, which stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as the famed director, centers around the creation of his famous 1960 film ‘Psycho.’ Alongside Hopkins will be plenty of A-list stars, including former Oscar winner Helen Mirren, as well as Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel and James D’Arcy.

The Sacha Gervasi-directed film is based off Stephen Rebello’s book ‘Alfred Hitchcock and the Making Of Pyscho.’

As well as taking a look at the production of the famous movie, the film will also look at the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville, played by Mirren.

Several other potential Academy Award contenders are scheduled for release near the exact date of ‘Hitchcock.’ Director Ang Lee’s adventurous ‘Life Of Pi’ and the new Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence drama ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ are both scheduled for release November 21.

Big-budget releases ‘Cloud Atlas,’ ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,’ ‘Les Miserables,’ and ‘Django Unchained’ will also be released within weeks of ‘Hitchcock’ as well.
