Prompted by an email from Jennifer Lopez‘s mother, Ben Affleck has offered support to his former fiancée after her divorce with Marc Anthony. Affleck and Lopez broke off their engagement seven years ago, and less than a year later, Lopez and Anthony were married.
However, it should come as no surprise that Ben does not hold any resentment towards Jennifer, as he himself is now married to actress Jennifer Garner. Both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have two children from their marriages.
Jennifer’s mother, Guadalupe Lopez, was preemptive in emailing Ben as she did so days before the couple announced they were getting a divorce. The announcement that the couple are getting divorced was made on July 15.
Ben responded to Guadalupe’s email, but his exact advice is currently unknown.
Though Lopez and Anthony have not commented as to why they are ending their marriage, a source close to the couple claims Marc was controlling. Also worthy of mention is Marc’s alleged affair two years ago.
