Charlie Sheen was booted from television series ‘Two and a Half Men’ back in March of this year, and it has now been revealed that he will be killed off in the season nine opener.

Ideas are still being thrown around for how Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper, will die in the episode, which will be filmed on August 5th. However reports by TMZ suggest that Sheen’s character may be killed by driving his car off of a Malibu cliff.

The last time viewers saw Sheen, he accompanied Melanie Lynskey, who plays Rose, on a plane to Paris to propose to her.

It is unclear whether creator Chuck Lorre will also kill off Rose, who has been a recurring character since season three. The writers could easily take this in any direction, especially with new cast members on staff.

Actor Ashton Kutcher, has already been announced as Sheen’s replacement and it is unknown how his character will be introduced to the series but some are speculating that he will be purchasing Harper’s old house.

Where does that leave Jon Cryer who plays brother Alan Harper and Angus T. Jones who plays Cryer’s son Jake? They lived with Sheen in the house the past seven seasons, perhaps they will remain in some twisted way?

Regardless, it will be a very different show to fans are used to watching. Hopefully ‘Two and a Half Men’ will be able to maintain its viewership with all of the effort that is being put into re-working the show.
