Taylor Swift will take the stage at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 6.

Swift joins a roster of other previously announced performers including Green Day, Pink, Alicia Keys and One Direction.

The VMAs will mark the Swift’s first live performance of her new single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” from of her upcoming fourth studio album Red.

Swift has said that the new album reflects the roller coaster of emotions that she has experienced in the past few years.

“I wrote a song called ‘Red,’ and thinking about what that song means to me and all the different emotions on this album they’re all pretty much about the tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships I’ve experienced in the last two years and all those emotions fanning from intense love, intense frustration, intense jealousy, confusion, all of that in my mind, all those emotions are red,” she said in a live webcast announcing the the new album.

Swift has been nominated for four VMAs in the past, but has only taken home one award. However, only win in 2009 for Best Female Video for “You Belong With Me” is most remembered because Kanye West crashed the stage and announced that the win should have gone to Beyoncé.

Hopefully this year’s VMAs go more smoothly for Swift.

Kevin Hart will host this year’s show along with a host of celebrity presenters, including Miley Cyrus, Olympic gold-medal-winning gymnast Gabby Douglas, and Best Pop Video nominee Wiz Khalifa.
