Coldplay have announced their first North American tour in almost three years.

Kicking off in Edmonton, Canada on April 17, 2012, the award-winning band will make 21 stops across North America, including a two-night residency at Los Angeles’ historic Hollywood Bowl.

The band will be performing material from their latest album ‘Mylo Xyloto’, which has been a resounding success across the world, topping the charts in 34 countries. Two singles from the album, ‘Every Teardrop is a Waterfall’ and ‘Paradise’, were also recently nominated for Grammys.

Coldplay – comprising Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Chris Martin – have sold more than 50 million records worldwide to date, and won numerous awards, including seven Grammys.

Advance tickets will be made available exclusively to American Express cardholders from Monday, December 12 – A week before public tickets go on sale.

Coldplay’s next single from ‘Mylo Xyloto’, ‘Charlie Brown’, will be released later this month. Watch the band perform ‘Charlie Brown’ on live at UCLA below:
