Goldfrapp have announced the release date for their upcoming greatest hits collection, ‘The Singles’.
The British Electro-Pop duo, consisting of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals/synthesizer) and Will Gregory (synthesizer), are due to release ‘The Singles’ on February 7, 2012.
‘The Singles’s will be the first compilation from the band, serving as a collection of the duo’s greatest hits from their past five albums, alongside two barn new songs written especially for the release: Slow building synth-pop track ‘Yellow Halo’, and new wave ballad ‘Melancholy Sky’.
Best characterized by Alison’s soft, breathy soprano vocals , Will’s multi-layered synth/string arrangements, the band have amassed a strong following over their 12-year career.
