Adele resumed her UK tour last night, telling the audience that she is “f**king well” ahead of her first performance.

The ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer was forced to cancel four concerts due to illness two weeks ago, releasing a statement saying: “Im as useless as a slug right now, i’ve had a rotten cold… it’s leaving me breathless and i cant hold any of my notes when i sing”

Adele has now recovered from her illness, taking to the stage at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall in front of 3,000 people, telling them “Thank God I’m f**king well. I’ve been ill as a dog.”

The singer performed ‘Someone Like You’ at the MTV Video Music Awards shortly before winning ‘Best Art Direction’ for the music video for ‘Rolling in the Deep’. She was also due to perform at the Mercury Music Prize award ceremony, but was forced to cancel due to illness.

With limited seats on her tour, tickers are selling for more than 25 times their face value, at more than £800 ($1,300) a ticket.

Sales of Adele’s second album ’21’, which is already the biggest selling album of the year, rebounded after her performance at the MTV VMA’s, and she is now on course to sell more than 13 Million copies before Christmas.
