Adele fans may have to wait longer than expected to see her perform in all her glory

The singer announced that she will be postponing her performances at the Plymouth Pavillions and the Bournemouth International Centre in England so she can recover from a chest infection.

Adele notified fans via her website stating: “Hi guys, sorry about the first 2 shows. im as useless as a slug right now, i’ve had a rotten cold since i got home earlier this week and was hoping it wouldn’t make its way onto my chest. but unfortunately it has and its leaving me breathless and i cant hold any of my notes when i sing.(sic)”

The singer has been busy promoting her most recent album ’21’, as well as appearing at concerts, television, and award shows.

The young singer’s album has dominated the US and UK charts, breaking the American record of most digital copies of a song sold in a year for her single ‘Rolling in the Deep.’ The single also reached the number one spot in eight different countries.

In the UK, Adele recently became the first living artist to achieve two top five hits in both the Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously since 1964; an achievement that iconic British Pop band The Beatles could only reach posthumously.

Earlier this week, Adele let it slip that she will be recording the title song for the next James Bond movie.
