Van Halen bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, son of the band’s legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen, isn’t a fan of One Direction.
The two parties had apparently met early a few days back at a hotel in Birmingham, England, when one of the 1D members threw an insult Van Halen’s way.
Wolfgang proceeded to take his complaints to his Twitter account:
Fun fact: Was just insulted by that shitty boy band #OneDirection in the lobby of our hotel this morning! Greetings Birmingham!

It took some time, but eventually One Direction fans took to Twitter to shoot their opinions right back at the 80s rock band, comically getting the band’s name wrong:

The feud is still apparently ongoing, with fans of both sides continually taking jabs at the other.
