Chevy Chase, one of the stars of NBC’s cult hit sitcom ‘Community,’ reportedly went on a racist rant about the direction writers are taking his character.

Chase plays Pierce Hawthorne, an older, casually racist student in the show.

Reports indicate that Chase became tired of the direction the ‘Community’ writing staff is taking his character. Sources told TMZ the rant culminated in him saying that soon they’ll make him call his African-American co-stars (Donald Glover and Yvette Nicole Brown) the N-Word.

This isn’t the first time Chase has scolded the writing staff of the show, or the show as a whole.

Chase butt heads with the show’s creator Dan Harmon, who stepped down after the end of the third season. During that time, he has gone on the record saying that joining the show was “a mistake,” that he doesn’t find the show to be funny, and saying “I’ve been too funny in my life to have to play a character who’s … moderately funny.”

The newest season of ‘Community’ has been delayed, but is due to resume February 2013 on NBC.
