Jennifer Aniston and her actor and screenwriter boyfriend Justin Theroux have announced their engagement. Theroux popped the question on Friday, his 41st birthday.
Theroux’s representative told People magazine, “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”
Aniston’s publicist, Steven Huvane has also confirmed the engagement.
The newly engaged couple started dating in May 2011 when they stared in ‘Wanderlust’ together.
While this will be the first marriage for Theroux, it is the second for 43-year-old Aniston who married Hollywood actor Brad Pitt in 2000. Sadly the marriage ended in divorce five years later following reports that Pitt had had an extramarital affair with actress Angelina Jolie.
Since her highly publicised split with Pitt, Aniston’s love life has been the focus of endless speculation. Her relationships with musician John Mayer and actor Vince Vaughn alone ignited countless engagement/pregnancy rumours.
