Florida rapper Rick Ross‘ newest LP ‘God Forgives But I Don’t’ landed at number one in the Billboard charts last weekend; the fourth #1 in the 36-year-old’s career.

Despite his repeated chart success, no album in Ross’ career has ever sold as well as God Forgives But I Don’t in its first week. The album topped out at 218,000 sales last week. Previously, his 2008 album Trilla earned the highest first-week sales, topping off at 198,000.

The extra boost in sales comes from a month-long Amazon deal which saw the album sell for a mere $5. The special deal shot Ross to the top of the digital album sales chart as well, coming in at over 90,000 sales.

Coming in at second for the fourth week in a row was Zac Brown Band‘s Uncaged. Other than Adele’s most recent release, ’21‘, no album has stayed in the top two of the album sales chart in 2012 for a longer period of time.

Ross’ big week comes after numerous press appearances, including stops on Chelsea Lately and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
