Singer Gavin DeGraw was involved in an assault with a group of men on the streets of New York City early Monday morning. DeGraw was not only attacked by three men in the East Village but subsequently hit by a taxi cab. He was taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.

After this series of unfortunate events, of which the motive is unclear, DeGraw remains in a stable condition and is recovering from a concussion and a broken nose among other minor cuts and bruises.

Police still have yet to make any arrests in relation to this incident.

DeGraw has been the opening act Maroon 5 and Train’s U.S. tour. His next performance was scheduled for today, which he ill-fatedly could not make.

DeGraw’s publicist told Reuters, “We have no information yet regarding his upcoming concert dates and promotion for his new album…Gavin and his family appreciate everyone’s concern at this time.”
