It would appear David Beckham‘s oldest son Brooklyn is set to follow in his father’s footsteps. The 13-year-old was spotted at a football trial for Chelsea FC under-14s on Tuesday at their training grounds in Surrey.
The trial was undertaken to offer Brooklyn an insight into English football at his age level. The teenager had previously been signed to LA Galaxy’s youth team while his father played for the side.
David Beckham, who was singed to Manchester United at 14 years of age, cheered his son on from the sidelines. The former England Captain is currently considering offers from clubs worldwide following his family’s move back to the UK at the end of last year.
Onlookers took to Twitter to share their excitement. One fan wrote: “David Beckham’s son Brooklyn is on trial for my team #chelseafc David Beckham was watching our training session tonight!! Madness.”
Who knows? It may not be long until the talented youngster captains England!
