A huge congratulations to Miranda Lambert who has maintained her title as the Country Music’s Female Vocalist of the year for the eighth time. The thirty-three years old singer-songwriter has so far won 52 awards and 162 nominations and has accepted her 53rd award in Las Vegas. This is after her song ‘The Weight of These Wings,’ carrying the audience which made her recognition be without doubt. In her acceptance speech, Lambert recognized the efforts given by women and prided in the great talents of Carrie, Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris that competed so hard against her. Her 8th ACM Award is the 25th Award overall since the beginning of the Academy of Country Music award. Her winning the competition is not a surprise since Lambert showcases talent and passion and great determination as a vocalist.

Miranda Lambert, is a solo artist but also a member of Pistol Annies. She has won other Awards including the Grammy Award and the Country Music Association Award. Her albums “Bring Me Down,” “New Strings,” “Kerosene” and “Me and Charlie Talking,” have featured in the Billboard top 40 Hot Country Songs. Other albums she has released include: “Crazy Ex- Girlfriend” (2007), ” More Like Her”, ” Gunpowder and Lead” and ” Famous in a Small Town” (2008), ” Heart Like Mine” and “The House That Built Me” in her third album ‘Revolution’, “Baggage Claim“, “Fastest Girl in Town”, “All Kinds of Kinds”, “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “Over You” in the fourth album ‘Four the Record’ in 2011. Other albums that have set her on record are “Automatic” and the “The Weight of These Wings” released in November 2016. It is without a doubt that Miranda Lambert will maintain the record although a rising breed of new women vocalist like Carrie follow closely.
