After cruising through film festivals a year ago, Jim Field Smith’s Midwest political jab Butter is set for official release this fall.

The film, starring Jennifer Garner as the “second” wife of a former butter sculpting phenom, played by Ty Burell, who’s looking to use their fame to get a head start in local politics. In comes the family of Rob Corddry, Alicia Silverstone, and their adopted daughter, played by Yara Shahidi, who is looking to usurp Garner’s character’s in the butter sculpting contest.

Also competing against Garner is Olivia Wilde, a stripper who supposedly made Burrell’s character fall in love with her. Though her attempts are less-than stellar, she assists Shahidi in her quest to top Garner.

Hugh Jackman, Ashley Greene, and Kristen Schaal also have small roles in the film, which you can see the trailer for below. Butter is slated for release October 5.
