After recently announcing plans to reboot (again) their Batman franchise, Warner Bros. has also reportedly been at work looking for a new director for the massive Justice League movie.

The film isn’t expected to be released until at least 2015, but Warner Bros. have already signed on Gangster Squad writer Will Beall for the script.

Reports also indicate that notable actor/director Ben Affleck has been approached to direct the film. Although there’s no verification of Affleck’s expected role (if any), he has a recent history with the production company. He’s currently finishing up historical thriller Argo with Warner Bros., which also produced 2010’s The Town.

After the worldwide success of Marvel’s The Avengers, which also has another sequel on the way, Warner Bros. made a point of getting their Justice League film underway. The movie is expected to feature many of the usual DC Comics heroes, including Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. However, according to reports, Affleck is only interested in directing films he also stars in.
