Lady Gaga has revealed the highly anticipated music video for her single “The Edge of Glory,” the third single to be released from her hit ‘Born this Way’ album which sold over 1 Million copies in its first week of sales.

The 25-year-old entertainer announced that the video would premiere on FOX Network’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, and would be available on VEVO immediately afterwards.

“LoveGame” director Joseph Khan announced on Twitter that Lady Gaga herself directed the “Edge of Glory” video.

The video received a lukewarm response from many fans on Twitter who were surprised at Gaga’s departure from the more outrageous music videos she has come to be known for. Many fans go on to support the video, which has a deep personal meaning for Gaga.

The song “Edge of Glory” was inspired by the death of Lady Gaga’s grandfather and features former E Street Band member Clarence Clemons, who suffered a stroke last week, on the saxophone.

I can only describe as well produced, but too ‘conventional’ for Gaga.
