It’s no shock to anyone that Johnny Depp has been making a comfortable living over the years. The Hollywood star has been a marquee feature since his emergence in 1990’s Edward Scissorhands, working alongside long-time friend/director Tim Burton in numerous popular projects over the decades. But no project has given Depp more success than the Pirates of the Caribbean series, which began nearly ten years ago.

The four-part series, which will boast a fifth addition in the near future, has reportedly earned Depp a jaw-dropping $350 million since 2003. Those numbers alone are staggering, putting Depp in the elite echelon of the world’s most paid actors, but The Sun is apparently reporting that those numbers could drastically increase with the fifth Pirates film.

Although the claim may be a bit ridiculous, The Sun estimates Depp could earn roughly $95 million alone from the new film. While it’s extremely improbable that those numbers actually pan out, the fact that it’s the realm of possibility is enough to make any other actor jealous.

FirstShowing played around with the speculative claims, noting that if they  were to come to fruition, depp would take home a “shocking $74,685 per hour…  Keep in mind, the income of the average American worker was just $40,584 in 2010. This means in just over 32 minutes, Depp would hypothetically make more than the average American pulls in during an entire year.”
