After 30 years of marriage, actors Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman have filed for divorce.

Although the two weren’t married until 1982, Perlman and DeVito originally met in 1970 during one of DeVito’s plays. The two moved in together, eventually landing gigs on the comedy classic ‘Taxi,’ and raising three children.

During their marriage, the two also appeared together in the 1996 movie ‘Matilda,’ which DeVito directed. The pair also founded Jersey Films production company in the early ’90s, which helped produce iconic movies like ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Erin Brockovitch.’

DeVito, 67, is currently a cast member on the FX hit ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia,’ which will enter its eighth season this Thursday.

Perlman, who’s biggest acclaim to fame was her 270 episodes spent in the role of Carla Tortelli on ‘Cheers,’ has worked as a character actor for the past several years, appearing in shows like ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,’ ‘Hung,’ and ‘Wilfred.’
