One Direction have released the music video for “Kiss You.”

The band spent the past five days teasing fans with behind-the-scenes footage and short clips of the video.

The first teaser clip has already passed 4 Million views and at this point, less than an hour after release, i’m sure the actual music video isn’t too far behind.

The 1D boys have described the video as “pure stupidity.” The video features green screen madness as they are seen riding motorcycles and driving cars alongside surfing, skiing, jailhouse dancing in front of a green screen.

It must also be noted that the video is incredibly ‘gifable.’ Tumblr will probably explode under the weight of all the gifs from this music video that’ll be uploaded over the next few hours.

“Kiss You” video director Vaughn Arnell is more than familiar with One Direction, having also directed the “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things” videos.

Arnell wanted to move away from the location-based music videos Directioners are used to seeing and tease the fans. He called the video “The ultimate tease” while speaking to MTV News.

“I think it’s as you’ve never seen the boys before. I wouldn’t say comedy, it’s all tongue-in-cheek.

“In the past, the boys have always been outside, it’s always been kind of quite location-based, and this is the first studio-based idea I’ve done with them.”

The video also takes clear inspiration from Elvis Presley, most notably his movies ‘Blue Hawaii’ and ‘Jail House Rock.’

“Kiss You” was the third single from One Direction’s sophomore album, ‘Take Me Home.’

The band, which features Niall Horan, Liam PayneZayn MalikLouis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles, will start rehearsals for their ‘Take Me Home’ world tour next week. The band will be on the road for much of 2013, kicking off the tour at London’s O2 arena on February 23, and wrapping up in Melbourne Australia on October 30 after a breathtaking 117 performances.
