In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 UK, she was introduced as the girl with “The Hottest Record in World”. So who is Sigrid?
Sigrid’s full name is Sigrid Raabe. She originally comes from Ålesund, a medium size town in Norway. She is 20 years old and currently living in Bergen, Norway, and London. In a recent article in VG, she mentions Neil Young and Joni Mitchell as her major inspiration for her songwriting. Sigrid is signed to the same management as Aurora Aksnes.
According to Island Records, she released her first song when she was in High School and not long after she got airtime on national radio stations in Norway.
