Kehlani has been forced to put her European tour on hold.

The R&B songstress took to Instagram to reveal she recently had emergency surgery to repair a hernia, and all of the eleven remaining European dates of her tour have been shelved under doctors orders.

“I’ve enjoyed being on the road in Europe so so much these past weeks,” the 21-year-old wrote in the caption of a rather graphic Instagram. “I’m deeply saddened to announce that I have to fly home for sudden unexpected surgery on my stomach, as some of you know I have a hernia (that squishy ball thingy above my belly button) and it’s gotten to a point of necessary surgery.”

“I’m going to have to reschedule the rest of my European tour in order to get it done and heal up.”

Kehlani kicked off her SweetSexySavage world tour on February 21 in Montreal, and performed two exclusive dates in New York and Boston before jumping across the pond to begin the European leg of her tour in Dublin, Ireland on February 28. News of the postponement came immediately before she was scheduled to perform in Berlin, Germany. The singer was also scheduled to perform in Poland, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands before returning stateside to begin the 38-date North American leg of her tour.

It remains to be seen whether she will be able to recover before her first U.S. tour stop on April 1 in Philadelphia, PA.

Kehlani, full name Kehlani Ashley Parrish, is one of America’s most recognizable young singers right now, so it should come as no surprise that many of tour dates have been sold out for a long time now. Her SweetSexySavage album debuted at the top of the U.S. R&B album chart, and the singer since has established herself as a popular featured artist on songs by the likes of G-Eazy, Stormzy, Chance The Rapper, and Justin Bieber.
