The first official trailer for ‘Stoker’ has been released.

The new film from acclaimed Korean director Park Chan-Wook, whose previous works include ‘Oldboy’ and ‘Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance,’ is his first English-speaking project.

The film centers around the estranged relationships of Mia, India, and Charlie Stoker. Charlie (Matthew Goode) emerges after the death of his brother to live with widowed Mia (Nicole Kidman) and her daughter India (Mia Wasikowska), both of whom have never met Charlie.

There’s an unspoken infatuation both Mia and India have with Charlie, who becomes increasingly interested in the life of India.

From the trailer, it’s clear that Charlie has a much more sinister side, and is looking to make a friendless India a part of it.

Actor Wentworth Miller, best known for his role as Michael Scofield on ‘Prison Break,’ wrote the screenplay for the film – the first of his career.

Fox Searchlight have slated ‘Stoker’ for a March 1, 2013 release
