5) The Getty Center

Located in the Santa Monica Mountains, this art museum is an architectural marvel. Visitors can enjoy views of the city while walking through gardens filled with sculptures and flowers, or they can pay a visit to one of the many exhibitions showcasing artwork from all around the world.

6) Six Flags Magic Mountain

LA has Disneyland, but LA residents don’t need to go all the way to Anaheim for great rides and roller coasters! Six Flags Magic Mountain offers 14 heart-stopping thrill rides, including Batman: The Ride, Colossus, Superman: Escape From Krypton, Revolution, Ninja – among many others. The park is open on weekends starting in March and daily from May to October.
