The Dior Men’s collection offers the latest fashions four times a year – once for each of the four seasons. Two seasons, fall and spring, are pre-collections. The upcoming spring collection in 2023 has an ambassador attached that has long been a mainstay in Dior – Robert Pattinson.
It is not the first time Pattinson has been the face of Dior menswear. He was the face of the Fall 2016 and Winter 2017 collections that Karl Lagerfeld designed. The “Twilight” and “Batman” star is also the face of Dior Homme fragrance since Pattinson started working with the iconic French brand in 2013. He attended many Dior fashion shows during the nearly 10-year partnership, even recording the soundtrack for the men’s pre-fall collection last December in London.
The collection with Pattinson as the face launched on October 25, and Mr. Kim Jones designed the outfits. One of the shots has Pattinson wearing a long coat with a shirt underneath a hooded top paired with hiking boots and casual pants. The other shot has him wearing a gray jacket with a blue buttoned shirt and a white shirt underneath. It’s paired with gray cargo pants and a men’s crossbody bag to complete the look.
Against a colorful backdrop, photographer Rafael Pavarotti captured the still shots. Ellie Grace Cumming and Melanie Ward were the stylists, and Ronnie Cooke Newhouse provided art direction.
The tried and true partnership is something Robert Pattinson enjoys, and the clothes he chooses to wear now are a far cry from his Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire days. Pattinson says the outfit worn at the premiere was his biggest regret; it reminded him of a kid going into a dress-up box [and wearing whatever he could find]. Since partnering with Dior, his fashion game has changed.
Pattinson mentions how he would never choose to wear the clothes he wore to red-carpet events, premieres, and interviews without Dior’s help. He would never have worn a tuxedo with basketball shorts and clothing material like silk, satin, and chiffon. The Dior partnership led to Pattinson’s best red-carpet fashion moments in recent memory.
