The memoir of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, will be released next year.

The long-waited memoir will see the light in January. It will be published by Penguin Random House. The publisher had announced the partnership in July 2021.

The memoir was supposed to be published this year. But the sudden death of Queen Elizabeth II changed the course of the plans. The book is supposed to touch on Prince Harry’s childhood, his experiences as a soldier in Afghanistan as well as his marriage with Meghan Markle. It will also discuss his role as a father and his relationship with his children.

And Prince Harry has already introduced a prelude. The memoir is not about a prince; the books is about a man. The memoir is introspective in its nature. Here, the Prince not only writes about his role as a prince but as a man of society. Particularly, he wants to show his mistakes and how he overcame them. He discusses the lessons that he learned and about his new perspectives. The reader is supposed to feel an intimate connection. Prince Harry discussed his memoir with his family in private. He also asked the royal family for permission.

The book’s profits are also destined to charity. Actually, Prince Harry had already planned this, for he attended in 2021 a polo match in Aspen, Colo. The match was benefiting Sentebale, an organization that helps children with HIV. The organization was established by Prince Harry himself. $1.5 million will be given to the organization. According to Prince Harry, he likes to help marginalized communities and feels grateful about being able to help.

This is not the first time a member of the royal family publishes a memoir. King Edward VIII, after he left the throne in order to marry Wallis Simpson in 1936, wrote a memoir in 1951. The touching memoir is known as “A King’s Story: The Memoirs of the Duke of Windsor.”
