In a dark twist of events, Brit award winner Joss Stone has become the victim of an alleged murder conspiracy.
Two unnamed men were arrested near her Devon home in possession of detailed maps, aerial photographs, ropes, swords and a body bag. It is believed they planned to first rob the British singer, before murdering her.
It is unknown why the men targeted the 24-year-old, however circulating theories pinpoint her growing fortune as the main motive as she is rumoured to be one of the richest female artists in the UK, apparently worth £9 million pounds ($14 million dollars). A source informed The Telegraph, “The Police want to know if this alleged conspiracy is about her money and her fame or just some kind of resentment over her success.”
In a statement Joss thanked fans for their concern saying: “I’m absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their inquiries.”
Joss Stone shot to fame in 2003 aged 16, with her debut album ‘The Soul Sessions’. Her second album, ‘Mind, Body & Soul’, proved an even bigger success making her the youngest female to top the UK album charts. Stone continues to be a success both in the UK and the United States.
