Scott Baio is the latest target of claims that he acted inappropriately towards women and he is fighting back as best he knows how. The former Charles in Charge star has been accused of having sex with costar Nicole Eggert back when she was just 14 years of age. She put these accusations out on her social media feeds with the post, Ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor. Creep.”
Baio has taken to Facebook live in order to address the accusations and claim that he is 100 percent innocent. The video was posted on his personal page because he said he didn’t want any of what he said to be taken wrong. He added that Nicole has come out with these accusations before and that they were proven wrong back then as well.
The report first surfaced around 2012 and Baio and his team put forth documents that were meant to show that Eggert was 18 when the two hooked up. It’s important to note that the actor is not claiming they never had relations, just that it was consensual and she was over 18 years old. It appears Baio’s wife was the one shooting the video and it can be assumed she is behind the actor all the way.
Perhaps the most damning testimony comes from Eggert herself, who did an interview years ago where she talked about the fact that she lost her virginity to Baio after Charles in Charge had officially ended. The actor pointed out that would mean she was quite a bit older than 18 and that the two had hooked up again after they stopped working together.After the actor finished his video, he took to twitter to post all of the documents that he had referenced he claimed would clear him in any accusation from Eggert.
What we don’t know if why Eggert had claimed the two hadn’t slept together until after the show was over in an interview, but claimed she was 14 other times. It’s possible Eggert had changed the age she was when the two had sex because she was embarrassed at the time. It’s also possible she’s remembering situations differently than what actually happened. In what has become a he said-she said world in the entertainment industry, it’s hard to tell just who is lying and who is telling the truth. What is clear is that there are people on both sides who are likely to believe one person over another.
