Bruce Willis has revealed that high-octane action flicks no longer spark his interest.
The action star, best known for his ‘Die Hard’ films, revealed that he is bored of the action and explosions.
“Explosions are one of the most boring parts of my job,” Willis told XLS Mag. “When you have seen a few fireballs, it’s not exciting anymore. I know part of my audience enjoys the explosions, but to be honest, I’m a bit bored of it now”
The revelation comes just days after it was revealed Willis was replaced in the upcoming Expendables sequel, ‘The Expendables 3.’ Sylvester Stallone blasted Willis on twitter, calling him “Greedy and Lazy,” when he reportedly demanded $1M per day to appear in the movie. Willis’ latest revelation gives strength to the rumor he didn’t actually want to be in the movie, and gave Stallone an ‘offer he couldn’t refuse’ after he was pressured to take a role he didn’t want.
The 58-year-old star also spoke out about wealth, explaining that: “I am very clear with who I am. I work in all sorts of films, but the action movies are the ones that generate the most revenue. I like to earn lots of money from those, but I do all types: small productions, mega-projects, medium-sized, even science fiction.” However, he was quick to add that he is not, “someone who spends the whole day counting bank notes.”
