The details surrounding Bob Saget’s death become a bit more bizarre as they are released. While in his hotel room, the initial report revealed that he could have had a head injury before going to bed, which led to his death. However, one person who saw him just before he died talked with him about feeling sick. Saget’s family continues to ask that they have peace during their time of mourning. An attorney for the family offered information on March 24 that was in the police report and the medical records.
The medical report that was released claims that Saget, who died at 65 years old, somehow fell in his hotel room and hit his head. His death has been investigated, and the basic details of the reports have been given to the public. Saget’s family now wants privacy and doesn’t want any other information to be known. An investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is being conducted. Rosalie Cocci worked at the hotel at the time of Saget’s death on January 9 and was one of the last people he saw. Their conversation was about Saget trying to recover from an illness like COVID and that he had recently had some issues with his hearing. However, Saget’s wife spoke with him just hours before he died. There was no mention of him being sick in the conversation that he had with her.
The autopsy report that was released reveals that Saget did have COVID, but the illness wasn’t what caused him to die. Blunt head trauma was listed on the report as the culprit. Details by the medical examiner indicate that Saget likely fell backwards and hit his head before going to bed. During a show before Saget went to his hotel room, Cocci noticed that he wanted the sound turned up on the stage so that he could hear. Saget complained about having a sore throat but didn’t say anything else about what he had. While on the stage, Saget appeared to be like himself and tried to entertain guests as much as possible, giving no indication that anything was wrong.
