Regularly crowned one of the hottest men in Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio also became a contendor for most eligible bachelor in Hollywood last month when he split from model girlfriend, Bar Refaeli. However, with boyish good looks us mere mortals can only dream of, it was obvious Leo would not remain on the open market for long. Queue Blake Lively, the envy of millions of women worldwide.
To have the antics of your ‘ex’ publicised must feel terrible, however for Refaeli the public break up reached new heights as DiCaprio was seen holidaying with ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively just weeks after the heartbreak. However, this was no ordinary vacation. Leonardo DiCaprio, who shot to fame after landing the leading role in Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’, took his new beau to “Fair Verona, where we lay our scene.”
It seems Leo was not oblivious to the significance of his chosen destination, as according to The Daily Mail, upon arrival to the city’s Roman amphitheatre, Leo donned his Romeo alter ego and wowed Lively with his Shakespearian acting ability.
Ironically, as with Leo’s breakthrough role, the new Hollywood coupling can also be attributed to Baz Luhrmann, as DiCaprio and Lively met on the set of Luhrmann’s latest movie, an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby.’
Evidently Leo’s career continues to go from strength to strength and there seems to be no shortage of iconic roles for DiCaprio to undertake. Due for release later this year Leo will play the leading role of J. Edgar Hoover in the movie of the same name. However, unfortunately for Refaeli, she will have to join Leo’s many fans, and lust after him from a distance.
