Matt Bomer has been confirmed for a role in ‘Glee’

Best known as conman gon’ FBI consultant Neal Caffrey in hit USA network TV show ‘White Collar’, Bomer will be taking on a very different role in ‘Glee’.

Confirmed by TVLine, Bomer has signed on to play the brother of Blane Anderson (Darren Criss) in the musical sitcom.

Due to make his debut in April, his character is reported to share a musical number with his brother Blane. This will mark the show’s first exploration of the Anderson family’s personal life.

Other recent additions to the ‘Glee’ cast include Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell, who were brought on board will play Rachel (Lea Michele)’s dads. The pair are expected to make their debut during Glee’s Valentines Day special.

Before taking on the role of Neal Caffrey in ‘White Collar’, 34-year-old Bomer played Bryce Larkin on NBC‘s ‘Chuck’, which ended it’s 5-year run last week after 91-episodes.

Darren Criss recently took on the leading role in Broadway musical ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’ for three weeks between Daniel Radcliffe stepping down and Nick Jonas taking on the role.

Glee airs on Tuesdays at 8pm/7c on Fox.
