New information has been released on upcoming episodes of The CW teen drama series Riverdale. Speaking with TheWrap, Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that the February 6 entry in the series will be entitled “Episode Forty-Seven: Bizarrodale.” Aguirre-Sacasa says that the episode will follow a different format from regular entries in the series. While most episodes of Riverdale focus on Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Veronica, “Bizarrodale” will primarily follow Cheryl, Kevin, Josie, and Reggie. Aguirre-Sacasa says that the episode will be a fun change of pace for the series, allowing the writers a chance to flesh out characters that aren’t usually in the spotlight. The episode will also be sure to make fans of the series happy as many often complain that fan favorites like Kevin and Cheryl never get enough screen time.

Aguirre-Sacasa also revealed that the show would be doing an adaptation of Heathers: The Musical later this spring. Heathers is based-off the 1989 Winona Ryder film of the same name. The film centers around Ohio’s Westerberg High, a school rule by a trio of mean girls all named Heather. As artsy teen Veronica Sawyer comes to reject the tyranny of the Heathers, psychotic new student J.D. plans on murdering the three girls. The film itself was turned into a musical in 2014. Aguirre-Sacasa says that the episode will feature nine musical numbers. Among other details released were the show’s cast list, with Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica playing the Heathers. Meanwhile, Josie and Sweet Pea will be playing Veronica Sawyer and J.D., respectively.

Musical episodes are becoming a yearly tradition for Riverdale. Last year the show adapted Carrie: The Musical, with actress Madelaine Petsch’s Cheryl playing the title character. The episode earned an unprecedented 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, being held as a bright spot in an uneven sophomore season. The soundtrack for the episode with recordings from the show’s cast was later released through WaterTower Music.

Riverdale airs Wednesdays on The CW.
