Paula Abdul is back in the judge’s seat.

The ‘American Idol’ and ‘X Factor’ alum will appear as a guest judge on an episode of ‘Dancing with the Stars: All Stars.’

In a pre-taped appearance on Monday’s episode, Abdul announced she will be a judge on the episode that airs October 15.

The former pop star expressed excitment regular ‘DWTS’ judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

“I’ve been sneaking into the show for years, and now I get to be a guest judge,” said Abdul. “It’s a marriage made in dancing heaven.”

Abdul was formerly a sought-after photographer, so she will likely have a lot of good advice for the would-be dancers. Fans of ‘American Idol’ know not to expect too many harsh words from Abdul. She was known for her soft touch and sympathetic critiques on the singing competition show.

Abdul has been without a regular TV gig since leaving Fox’s ‘X Factor’ and rating are down this season for ‘DWTS’, so hopefully Abdul’s appearance will be beneficial for both.
