The CW released a new promo for the upcoming fourth season of the undead melodrama ‘The Vampire Diaries.’
The clip promises sexy, brooding and action-packed story lines in the upcoming season.
The teaser jumps from a car crash to a morgue and then flashes to Elena (Nina Dobrev) asking “Am I dead?”
It seems that Elena is not dead but she is in a period of transition between death and becoming a vampire.
Vampire brothers Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) plot to find a way to stop the transformation before Elena has to feed in 24 hours.
Dobrev will grace the October cover of Seventeen magazine just in time for the season premiere. She tells the magazine about breaking her ‘no co-star dating’ rules when she fell for Somerhalder.
“I didn’t want to be dating one of my co-stars — my goal on the show was to be professional. But sometimes you can’t help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long — which I did for a really, really long time,” Dobrev revealed to the magazine.
Season four of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ premieres Thursday, October 11 at 8pm on the CW.
