In what is called a “top-secret” role according to TV LineMad Men star John Slattery has been cast in the upcoming newest installments to the Arrested Development series.

The series was famously axed six years ago, only to be picked up as a Netflix exclusive fourth season leading into a much-hyped film.

Slattery’s role is said to be recurring; however, executive producer Ron Howard and the show’s creator Mitch Hurwitz have also indicated that there will be several new characters introduced in the ten-episode fourth season.

“It’s been away for a while,” Howard told MTV. “And part of the fun that Mitch has been mining and exploiting is, what’s new to discover about these people? What’s delightfully unchanged? He and the writing staff and the actors have a fantastic sense of that. They’re pretty brazen, pretty bold and fearless. That’s what made the show into something that fans really kept alive.”

Exact dates of the release are not confirmed, but both the entire fourth season will be released at once some time next year.
