Some people may be surprised to learn that the name of the movie that featured the Scanners character is not an animated GIF, but a TV show that’s based on it. This is because, even though it’s already been around for a long time, people still remember it as an internet meme.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO is developing a TV show based on David Cronenberg’s 1981 film “Scanners.” William Bridges, who wrote the Black Mirror books, is the showrunner of the show, and Yann Demange is the director. Cronenberg is also an executive producer for the new series.

The film was set in a world where people with telekinetic and/or telepathic abilities are known as Scanners. They work for a terrorist known as Revok, who wants to take over the world. At one point, he kills a man by making his head explode. It’s very gross and cool, and it’s also very Cronenberg.

HBO’s adaptation of the film will be different from the movie in that it’s set in a different world from the one depicted in it. Instead of following the same plot as the movie, the show will focus on two women who are struggling to live in a society that’s constantly on the run from powerful agents. Based on that, it’s possible that this show will be a reboot of the movie, with the bad guys from the film now being the good guys. We’re also curious to see how the network will utilize the effects.

While we’ll see a lot of visual effects in the show, it’s also likely that they’ll utilize practical effects to make the characters more terrifying. One of the first scenes might feature a head exploding.

In other Cronenberg news, he revealed that his next film, which will reportedly be called “The Shrouds”, will not be a French film, despite starring the likes of Vincent Cassel and Léa Seydoux. According to him, people who know him will recognize some of the elements of the film as autobiographical. He also stated that the movie will be filmed in Toronto next year.
