‘The Glee Project’ winner Damian McGinty is due to make his debut appearance in the hit musical-comedy ‘Glee’ next week.
McGinty will play an “adorable” freshman exchange student that goes by the name of Rory Flanagan. However, not all goes well for the Irish native, who soon finds that he’s getting picked on by the football team and quickly becomes an outcast before joining Glee Club (you know the drill…).
Playing off her naiveté, Rory pretends to be a leprechaun to get in the good graces of his exchange host, the beautiful Brittany S. Pierce, who is quick to offer her ‘Pot O’ Gold’ to the new student after convincing herself that he is, in fact, a leprechaun that only she can see.

McGinty is set to be one of the first of many new and returning cast members this season. We have already seen the return of Rachel Berry’s mother, played by Idina Menzel; and fans are gearing up to see Chord Overstreet reprise his role as Sam ‘Trouty Mouth’ Evans towards the end of the season as well.
Glee returns with ‘Pot O’ Gold’ to Fox on November 1 at 8pm/7c.
