The Series 7 finale of Doctor Who is almost upon us! Get up-to-date on the upcoming episode before it airs tonight at 8/7c on BBC America.
The episode is said to be terrifying, and features the return of many fan favorites; including: River Song (Alex Kingston), Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny (Catrin Stewart), and everyone’s favorite Sontaran, Strax (Dan Starkey).
The Great Intelligence, referenced in 2012 Christmas Special ‘The Snowmen’ and ‘The Bells of St John,’ get together with a new terrifying set of monsters called ‘The Whispermen’ to set the stage for us to learn the two biggest secrets of the season: What exactly makes Clara so impossible, and who exactly is the Doctor.

Matt Smith has also confirmed that he will be returning for Season 8 of Doctor Who.
Smith is currently on break from Doctor Who while he’s in Detroit filming for Ryan Gosling‘s feature-length directorial debut, ‘How To Catch A Monster,’ which is due for release in 2014.
“We come back and shoot the Christmas special over the summer, then we go on to the next series, which will either start filming at the end of this year or at the start of 2014,” Smith said, confirming his continued association with the series.
