Astrid S is a Norwegian singer and songwriter who got her real breakthrough through the Norwegian version of Idol in 2013. Her real name is Astrid Smeplass. She is originally from the small place called Rennebu in Norway. Astrid has now moved to Oslo. In Norway, she has had many hits but internationally she is most known for her song “Air” with Shawn Mendez.
Astrid has been interested in music ever since she was born. She has gotten two different musical scholarships from Norsk Tipping and Gramo. Her talent has also been recognized by Elton John on his show “Rocket Hour”. Her song “Breath” was on the 27th of April, 2017 picked as “Song of The Week” by BBC DJ Scott Millis.
