Lady Gaga has released an alternative music video for her latest single, ‘You and I’.

The black and white video, titled ‘Nymph’, features an unusually natural looking Gaga dancing in the wind while performing a slightly stripped down version of her single ‘You and I’.

The video draws a marked contrast to the original ‘You and I’ video, which heavily featured not only Gaga’s male alter ego Jo Calderone, but also Gaga dressed as a mermaid.

This is the latest in a string of ‘stripped down’ performances by the popstar, who also performed a stripped down version of ‘You and I’ in a promo for her performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

Shortly before announcing the alternative video on twitter, the 25-year-old confessed: “I have a surprise for LittleMonsters!… Didn’t just shoot 1 You and I music video. 5 more fashion films to come.”

One of five fashion films to be set to the ‘You and I’ soundtrack, ‘Nymph’ was directed by Dutch Photographer Inez van Lamsweerde, with Lady Gaga (Real Name Stephanie Germanotta) credited as Creative Director.
