Demi Lovato has performed a cover of ‘How to Love’, the most popular song from Lil Wayne‘s record-breaking album ‘Tha Carter 4’.

The actress/singer first performed the cover to a sold-out crowd of almost 4000 fans at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom alongside many of her other hits, including ‘Skyscraper.’

For those who missed the concert, Lovato has now performed ‘How to Love’ in the intimate setting of the VH1 studios for a live session in front of a select few fans and the VH1 cameras.

In the session, Lovato switches the narrative of the song to first person, adding to the already powerful lyrics of the song by seemingly talking about herself.

The starlet, who acted in Disney’s ‘Camp Rock’ movie franchise, was forced to drop out of the ‘Jonas Brothers Live in Concert’ tour to enter rehab for a number of issues, including an eating disorder and self-harm. During her stay in rehab, Lovato was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

The ‘Unbroken’ singer later opened up about her issues after leaving rehab, in the hope that she can help other young girls battling similar demons.
