R. Kelly has announced the dates for his upcoming ‘Single Ladies Tour‘.

The R&B star will play concerts coast to coast, hitting the road on October 13 to play his first show in Columbia, S.C. He will also make stops in Atlanta, Memphis, Chicago, Detroit and L.A., to name few, before wrapping things up in Merrillville, IN.

Kelly is touring in support of his most recent album ‘Write Me Back,’ which was released in June.

‘Write Me Back’ and his previous album ‘Love Letter’ were noted for showing fans a softer, more romantic side of the singer. R. Kelly is known for the edgy, sexually explicit material from earlier albums that featured songs like “Your Body’s Callin” and “Down Low (Nobody Has to Know).”

However, R. Kelly’s next album, ‘Black Panties’ promises to be a return to sexually charged form.

“The name of my next album is ‘Black Panties’ — that’s my next ’12 Play,'” he said in a phone interview with the AP, referring to his sexually explicit 1993 debut album.  “I’m going to have some fun on it.”

‘Black Panties’ is still in the recording stages and a release date has not been announced. R. Kelly also has more chapters of his ‘Trapped in the Closet’ series in the works.
