Jack White performed an surprise set at last weekend’s Outside Lands Festival.

While he was already due to headline the final day of the three-day festival, White stepped into the woods earlier in the day and surprised fans with an intimate set in front of the Rolling Record Store.

The appearance quickly drew in a large crowd while is all-female crew was setting everything up, however the entire performance still proved much more intimate than seeing him afar on stage for his headline performance, which was a real treat for fans.

The set kicked off with “Love Interruption”, the debut track off his debut solo record ‘Blunderbuss’, before continuing on with The Raconteurs‘ “Broken Boy Soldier”, before closing out with White Stripes track “Hotel Yorba”.

The Rolling Record Store is a bright yellow van (seen in the video) used by White’s own record label, Third Man Records.

Outside Lands is an annual music and arts festival held in San Francisco, California. Dozens of other bands took to the stage at Outside Lands this past weekend, including Metallica, Steveie Wonder, Foo Fighters, Skrillex, and The Kills.
