Boy bands may be making a comeback but don’t expect Justin Timberlake to jump on the bandwagon.

The former member of ‘N Sync released his last album, ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ in 2006. He told an interviewer at the premiere for his new movie ‘Trouble With the Curve’ that he has no plans to release any new music at the moment.

Timberlake told The AP he is inspired to make new music based on life experiences.

“For me, personally, when I do sit down and decide to do it, it’s just a special thing,” Timberlake said.

With the skyrocketing popularity of a new generation of boy bands like The Wanted and One Direction, some of Timberlake’s ’90s boy band compatriots are trying to get back in the action.

98 Degrees announced in July that they are back in the studio, working on new music. All five Backstreet Boys are also back together and working on a new album.

Timberlake’s two solo albums have been chart-toppers and Grammy award winners. Both ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ and his first solo album ‘Justified’ were well received by critics.

Timberlake said that he is not like other artists today who constantly come out with new albums and singles. “I don’t know that I can pump them out every year,” he said.

Timberlake is one of the only former boy band members to maintain a successful adult career, branching out into acting roles.

The multi-talented Timberlake recently appeared in ‘The Social Network,’ ‘Bad Teacher’ with ex Cameron Diaz, and ‘Friends with Benefits’ with rumored fling, Mila Kunis.

Timberlake is engaged to actress Jessica Biel and has two films set for release in 2013. Hopefully he is getting enough life experience under his belt to make for a really awesome third solo album.
