Justin Bieber has given the gift of song to Lil Wayne for his birthday.

The 17-year-old musician/singer recorded a unique version of Lil Wayne’s hit song ‘How to Love’ for the rapper’s 29th birthday. The song was the third single to be released from Lil Wayne’s record-breaking album ‘Tha Carter IV’.

Releasing the song to the world, Bieber posted a video on Twitter with the message “Happy birthday @liltunechi”, referring to Lil Wayne’s twitter screen name.

The song features an original verse written by Bieber and rapped in the style of his urban alter ego Shawty Mane.

‘How to Love’ peaked at No.5 in the Billboard singles chart earlier this year, and has recently been covered by many prominent artists in live shows, including Demi Lovato, who recorded the song in a first person perspective for a recent VH1 Live Session.

Earlier this year it was revealed that Bieber is eager to collaborate with the ‘Mrs. Officer’ rapper. Speaking to XXL, Lil Wayne said: “[Bieber] texts me every night asking me to do [his] damn song. That’s my n**ga, but I can’t do it. Like I said, I don’t want to f**k his s**t up.
